Jodi Kapla Mason, L.Ac.

Hello, I am Jodi Kapla Mason. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in Wisconsin, Colorado and Minnesota, and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico. I am a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine certified with the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).  I hold a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO. This 3 year accelerated program included emphasis in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tui Na massage, Moxibustion, nutrition and exercise counseling. It consisted of over 2800 hours of classroom training and 1200 hours of clinical practice. After graduation I completed a 1 month externship at The China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center where I had the opportunity to learn from Chinese doctors and treat patients in several Chinese hospitals. I have additional continuing education in Auriculotherapy, Acupuncturists Without Borders trauma protocols, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Kiiko Matsumoto style acupuncture.

Though I have lived in the Southwest for the past 25 years, I am a Wisconsin native. I attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. I have over 25 years of experience doing laboratory testing in addition to 15 years of acupuncture experience. While in New Mexico I had a private acupuncture practice and was able to treat hospital inpatients and outpatients in the oncology clinic. Because I have knowledge of both western and eastern medicine I am especially interested in working with your primary care providers and other specialists to provide a truly integrated health care experience.

In my free time I like to spend time with my husband and dog. I also enjoy being outside and like to hike, kayak, mountain bike, snowboard and cross country ski. I am happy to be back in the Midwest and look forward to becoming a part of the community.
